Welcome to my Blog.
Today I took some senior portraits for Katie from St. Fredericks High. We had a great time finding new spots, and walking up and down the levee taking photos. Katie… thanks for being so easy to work with, and I hope you like what you see.

Last weekend I had a nice downtown engagement session with Rachel & Dusty. The weather was the best its been in months, the wind settled to nice breeze, and I just happened to have a couple of love birds in front of my camera… what could be better? I have to apologize to Dusty for interrupting the baseball game he was listening to… but I have to say that he may be glad he wasn’t listening when ULM somehow found a way to defeat the far superior La Tech Bulldogs.
I’m looking forward to getting these two in front of my camera in May, at their wedding. Until then, here are a few photos from the engagement session.

Earlier this week I had a senior portrait session with Brandi from West Monroe High. She’s definitely a natural beauty, so when it was all said and done… we had some great photos.
No need to worry, our short time together was very interesting with several twist & turns. We had a locked stadium due to the holiday, we had some keys locked in Brandi’s car, we had a dress that didn’t make it into the car, and we had some earrings left in a McDonald’s restroom… but the earrings were recovered… well… one was recovered and the other went down the drain. Despite a interesting series of unfortunate events, we had a great time. Brandi was great to photograph, and very easy to work with. Thanks a lot Brandi, here are a few of your photos.

Last weekend I took the lovely Megan’s bridals. The weather was a few degrees warmer than it had been, so we thought we had it made… well, we were wrong. The wind was the worst Ive ever seen it, and the sky was completely clear. It was wild, but we toughed it out and got some great photos. I’d like to thank my wonderful assistant Amber Faul for helping me out… she’s something like a life saver. Megan, thanks for hangin in there…. I think it payed off.

Hello All… I hope everyone’s week has been as great as mine. I have to say, I’m enjoying the cold weather, even though it does make my job a little tougher. Last weekend, I went over to Ruston for something other than the lovely Louisiana Tech. I had a bridal session with the very beautiful Amy Pepper. We had a great time, even with the chilly temperatures. Here are a few shots…. and Amy, thanks for being so fun to work with… you were great.

here are a few more shots from Chad & Jennifer’s engagements…. these two were a blast to work with… and it won’t be all that long before I get to photograph Jennifer in her lovely dress, and then comes the wedding in July… keep checking back for more.

Last Friday I went with Sarah to a beautful house on Lake D’Arbonne for her bridal session. It was a little chiily out, but we made it through the chill bumps, the crazy wind, and the long walk down to the lake. I have to give it to Sarah for being a real trooper…. but I think it payed off.

This last weekend I took engagement photos for a my long time best friends, Chad Creel & Jennifer Elliott. We wanted to take the photos somewhere with some fresh scenery, and when we heard that John Mayer was going to be in Memphis, we just knew we had it all figured out.
Well…. the show was Friday night, and we left headed for Memphis on Friday morning. The weather in Memphis was way colder than the weather channel said and the snow on the ground took us Southerners by total surprise. On the way into the show, we saw a neat little patch of untouched snow and decided to head over that way and investigate. Well, Jennifer was overcome with total excitement and before we could catch her… she was racing towards the snow when she slipped, stumbled, and began to fall. When she got up… what we saw was not good. This is what we saw the next morning…

Well, it was rough… but we decided that with makeup and photoshop we would give the photos a shot. The wind-chill was in the 20’s, but we survived. Here are a few of the shots I was able to grab. This first shot really shows Jennifer’s good lockin smile… and wait a minute…. no black eye… Jennifer’s a pro with her makeup, and I do what I can with photoshop.

We met this guy on the street, and decided to squeeze him in for a quick shot.

When it was all said and done we had a great time. We got some great shots, the John Mayer concert was amazing, and a roadtrip with good friends is always a blast.
Last Saturday I made my way over to Shreveport for the second day in a row. This was a great wedding, and I’d like Sarah & Toby to know that I appreciate the laid back environment. We had a great time, and got some great shots. I’d like to thank Amber, a new assistant, for doing a great job. Here are just a few from Sarah & Toby’s special day.

These next 3 pictures give you an idea of who everybody wanted to see…

I hate to say it, but it’s pretty clear that this little guy wins the Most Handsome trophy.

This weekend I was invited to follow the amazing Josiah Kennedy to a spicy downtown bridal session. I love working with this guy… and I just assume that everyone knows who the famous JK is. If you are one of the few who hasn’t discovered him, you owe it to yourself to check out hit site… www.josiahkennedy.com We had fun running from spot to spot and using every last bit of light, and we even took a few after dark…
Thanks to Mr. Kennedy for having me along, and here are a few of the photos I was able to snap.
